Pixie's Day

Sadly, Ben's birthday celebrations are over, but we are still in the mood to party. The show must go on, and so Carneval comes in just handy! What costume to wear? That's easy for a Peanut who naturally looks like a pixie (minus the pointy ears). On we put a pink pixie dress, gorgeous wings, and some magic glitter. Tata! Ready for Carneval at Kindergarten?

First a little flip-book of Pixie Peanut
giving the camera a shy smile,

offering some magic glitter,

willfully posing on mom's command (for exactly 30 seconds),

and enjoying the fluffy layers of her lovely dress,

before rushing off to Kindergarten to meet with her friend the cat.

Welcome to fairyland!
Where imps and elves, fairies and witches, fire men and construction workers cast a spell on you.

A magic buffet has been organized by the parents, along the edible guideline of international delicacies. As Lia is an all American girl at heart, we were asked to prepare an American dish. Brandy helped out and created rice krispies treats with me. We met at midnight (German time) in a facebook baking conference to prepare the most delicious snacks together, which, needless to say, were a HUGE success. Not one single rice krispy corn was left over. YUM.

(Just glad, no evil wolf ate up my sweet elf. All wolves were stuffed with rice krispies.)

PERFECTLY PINK AND PIXIED all over! Lia was, of course, 'Best Dressed' as you can see the the lovely mom-snaps. And YOU (and me!) with your (our!) delicious treats, totally American...doubly so because you did them at the perfect time of night (I would SO do that too...but you knew that...) AND placed on the perfectly picnic-y plate. LOVE. IT. ALL.

Actually I am surpised the wolves were distracted ... the crispies look great and delicious and they make my mouth water, but, seriously, can they compete with the pink pixie fluffy cupcake???

Adorable, adorable. I'll say it again for good measure: adorable.

"Tata"? Are you sure you didn't mean "Tara"?! Very nice pixie in very nice outfit, aaah! We'll pack ours the next time we come over for a fairy outing to the park.(PS.: We tried to make them treats with a days delay but the magic didn't work. Must be they only come out edible when made at midnight in a transatlantic magic cooking event.)

PS Those Germans, they take their Fasching seriously, don't they? What a crowd! And I can't see a single improvised outfit like the one I used to be sent to school in... maybe if my mum had bought me, the tallest girl in SCHOOL, a lovely pink perfect fairy identity, I would not hate it so to this day... *sigh* Lucky girl, Lia!
