Dear family and friends, we have been asked time and again to create a website that will document our life in suburbia alias North Carolina! And here it is, our very humble and very pink start at turning our private into public. So wherever you are, in Germany, Israel, England, or America, you are now invited to track and share the expansion of our family. ENJOY!

I want to ride my bicycle
Tried to tell my girl she was still too little. Girl insisted.
Got on her bike and told me: "Let go!"
Got on her bike and told me: "Let go!"
And I did. And there she went. Without training wheels, without assistance. Drove up and down the street with the big girls.
Didn't know how to stop and simply leaned against a bush.

Confident and fearless Lia. I'm still stunned.

Walk this way

You are looking at Ben's first pair of walking shoes, carefully chosen, neatly arranged and photographed in front of a pretty flower pot by a slightly eccentric mother. Then the shoes were put on a proud little walker, who marched off so fast that he stumbled into the not so neatly arranged front garden.
Ben on his way to stamp down our plants.
I am now officially chasing two kids.
On the bright side, this means more shoe shopping!
Nordstrom, here we come! Then again, I see myself running past the high heels section in my newly bought sneakers. Or should I for once get a pair of Manolo Blahniks and very slowly push this neatly arranged couple?
Yeah, right.

And while big sister has been going to ballet and music classes, Ben was NOT submitted to homeschooling. For the last year Ben went to a baby class that encouraged him to reach all of his developmental milestones (faster than everyone else.)
Ball pool. FUN! (?) A picture taken before Ben's second haircut.
And an even older pic. Ben, the first to crawl.
And no, this class is not based on competition. In case we are giving this impression.
Ben successfully passed his class (with distincion). The next project is called 'music garden'. Will he be the drummer or the fiddler? We'll keep you posted!
