It's strawberry season!
These two need some more sunshine.
(Being a strawberry in Germany isn't all that easy.)
But these here, in Lia's mouth, are nice and red and sweet.
Strawbe-be-be-be-be-berry Shortcake is presenting:
Can't wait for blueberry season to begin.
Dear family and friends, we have been asked time and again to create a website that will document our life in suburbia alias North Carolina! And here it is, our very humble and very pink start at turning our private into public. So wherever you are, in Germany, Israel, England, or America, you are now invited to track and share the expansion of our family. ENJOY!

Hungarian dreams
Time to travel again!
The kids have packed, and great adventures await them.
In the next village, at Grandma's and Grandpa's.
Mom and Dad get to travel to Hungary. Alone. How awful.
And while Lia is cooking button soup at Grandma's,
I get to taste hot, spicy Hungarian fish soup, (which is actually absolutely delicious!)
and also have the rare opportunity to pose in front of the camera.
And as I happen to share my daughter's passion for fancy dresses,
I do my best to act as a substitute for my daughter,
representing Lia and Tara Jarmon on Hungarian rooftops.
Here comes the bride! And let's just say it out loud: she has VERY BAD TASTE.
Thank goodness the groom decided not to marry her...
... but had the sense to choose this one instead:
Zsuzsanna and Florian. Such a beautiful couple!!!!
Almost as stunning as this couple:
You'll just have to imagine the bouquet in this one. It was a good throw.
And as is the custom in Hungary, you marry and then move to Brasil.
Hence the portable cake. Best suitcases I ever tasted.
Hungary. An emotional, intense, and wonderful weekend.

Back home, Lia calls me 'Oma' and offers me her famous button soup,
which is just as spicy as the taste I got of Hungary.
Jó étvágyat!
