Travelling to the Middle East
Let me tell you this: we had a blast. Two amazing, adventurous, unforgettable weeks in a beautiful country and amidst the most loving family! This is the first part of blogging about our superstay in Israel that will give you a taste of the fun we had during the last two weeks.
My two gorgeous kids made it all the way to Israel with their Supersaba Paul and their overly excited mom. And here are the travellers:
The Chameleon
Definitely Israeli in character, social, outgoing, barefoot.
She is such an easy child and adapted to her new environment in exactly 0 seconds.

And she was accompanied by her granddad, who has been to Israel countless times ever since 1966. He was the most fun travel companion, to say the least.

And then there was her mom, always ready to rub noses. In Israel.

And this is one of my favorite pictures.
No matter where Lia goes, she blends in perfectly!
My little kangaroo chameleon. And look at those arms!
(P.S. This was at a zoo, not in my cousin's backyard.)

The Trooper

Ben
Baby Beckham (as was his titel in Israel) did not really understand why the temperature all of a sudden went up by 30 degrees. But for all of his cluelessness, he did extremely well and was the perfect tag-along baby.

And all the attention he got from his granddad! Being carried, and held, and thrust into the hot and slightly humid air.

And also being held by his mom. In Israel.

And simply enjoying himself in a patch of scratchy Israeli grass.

You guys always have the most wonderful adventures! So glad you got to go with the kids. Looks like lots of fun and they are as gorgeous as usual (tfu tfu tfu)
You're back!!!!! I'm SORRY! Telling from this entry you probably would have LOVED LOVED LOVED to stay longer (no wonder - was it this cold, when you left? Poor Ben, he must really be confused now!). Glad you finally made it there and everyone in Israel got to see your cuties. Love the kangaroo picture. So funny. And the one in the hammock. How lovely is that? *sigh*
Post more pictures! Will I see you before I go on vacation again? Hope so!
Onkel Chrischie
Kangoroo poop for Lia to step into, and scratchy grass for Ben to lie on... AAh *sigh* wish we'd been there too. In Israel.
*more sighing*
A nice mini-vacation from the freezing cold land of Kartoffle(s)...much needed I see...
Plus, you've gotta *love* Israeli kangaroo poo! (And probably digging said poo from the bottom of Lia's SHOE... with a stick!) Ha ha ha...or is it WAH-HA HA HA HA!!!???
See you in the balcony!
The scratchy grass should have done the cangaroo poo cleansing job. It's a country on contrasts that compliment each other, in Israel.
PS - when will this be continued? Soon? Or are you first going back to Israel for a fresh lot of adventures?!
Like exotic animal poop-hunting? Or is it crazy taxi driving? I'd love to see a post about both!
Alex, go and birth a baby, will ya already?!
