911
or
Toddlers Trying to Vote for Obama

pictures taken by a Democratic photographer

This blog post was supposed to be one of our regular cute photoalbum style posts. However, the political content and portrayed behavior have added an explosive flavor. If Democratic toddlers go to vote in the South, things can get a little bit rough.

Let's first take a look at our two Democratic troopers:

Lia and I decided to witness the presidential elections first hand by accompanying our dear friends to the nearest early voting location. And although Barack Obama has a good chance of winning in North Carolina, the odds were that the line of voters was heavily leaning to the conservative right. Or so it seemed. Ok, we have to admit, Lia and Lorenzo, our wild toddler Democrats, were anything BUT standing in line. They were actually running up and down alongside the line of patient and not so patient voters, flashing their liberal shirts. As Brandy mentioned earlier, religion and politics are two topics that are not publicly discussed in the South. Whether it was the shirts or our childrens' unmannerly behavior remains unclear, but a mean, old, and probably Republican supervisor told us that our kids were not supposed to run around and need to stand in line - with waiting time being an hour! Very nice (and probably Democratic) people who were standing at the very top offered to let Brandy (with newborn strapped to her chest) have the place in front of them, so that she wouldn't have to wait while wrestling her kids, but mean supervisor lady said that we had to ask every single person in line! And we did! Guess what, all the Republicans voted AGAINST Democratic toddlers and Mom skipping the line. The highlight of this unearthly conservative freak show? Mean supervisor lady actually threatened to call 911! "Hello? Mr. Police officer? Two Democratic toddlers won't stand at the end of the line! Please arrest Obama kids!" Well, Senator McCain might approve this moronic message. But we don't! Dear Senator Obama, our kids could not make it standing in line for an hour among hostile (Republican?) antagonists, but you sure have one adult and two toddlers voting for you tomorrow! We will find our way to the top of the line. Yes, we can. Yes, we will. (Possibly in McCain shirts.)

All scarily true. I can barely blog I am so deeply traumatized still today and have yet to cast my actual vote.

Will reconsider bringing liberal toddlers anyplace near fanatically republicans ever again.

They are out of their silly little minds, those Americans. What else can one possibly say to THAT?

oh God - if this wasn't so creepy, angering and actually clearly pretty pathetic on certain people's part I'd be rolling around the floor laughing with tears running down my cheeks. Can't you sue mean supervisor lady for obstruction of something - wait, let me think: obstruction of excercising civil rights (Brandy's that is)? You know, just for the mean old fun of it???

Suggest you e-mail post to relevant Obama-endorsing newspapers and see what they make of this madness. SNL may be good addressees, too. Might also entail cute photoshoot of delinquent Obama-toddlers.

I can't believe she actually threatened to call 911! What for? Not keeping toddlers on a leash?! HA! Too bad we try NOT to teach the 'nuts to kick and hit....a couple peanut feet to a certain old bags shins would have certainly been justified here! What a B*#+@!
